Rebecca Beckas is a sophomore Visual Communications Major on the Photojournalism track in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. Getting her foot in the door at the Annual Alexia Fall Workshop, Rebecca has worked with industry professionals such as Maryanne Golon, Lynn Johnson, Bruce Strong, and many other notable photography figures. She primarily works on a Sony a7 IV but loves to work with film, using a Canon AE-1 and shooting a variety of subjects; from dance photography, to nature photography, street photography, and anything journalistic. Rebecca also has experience with cinematography, using a Canon EOS C70 for her video storytelling class. In the future, Rebecca hopes to primarily work as a photojournalist.
